Things I think I think

- The world will be better off if Baz Luhrmann’s Great Gatsby never sees the light of day. And I will be the first to eat crow if it’s good, but there are just some things that weren’t meant to be adapted into another form of media.

- As much as I like Edward Norton, Mark Ruffalo is the perfect Bruce Banner. Equal parts brash, cynical and scared, he’s perfect for the role. He also sounds a little like Ray Romano.

- I need a job and a social life. It’s bad when even people on Tumblr don’t talk to you.

-Football season needs to come but hopefully, the job and social life come first so I can fully enjoy it.

- I need to read more books. Novels and comic books. I am also always open to suggestions.

-Don’t you get it Mr. Krabs, he was numberrrrr oneeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

"All the time in the world — his life and hers. But for an instant as he kissed her he knew that though he search through eternity he could never recapture those lost April hours. He might press her close now till the muscles knotted on his arms — she was something desirable and rare that he had fought for and made his own — but never again an intangible whisper in the dusk, or on the breeze of night…
Well, let it pass, he thought; April is over, April is over. There are all kinds of love in the world, but never the same love twice."

Just read “Thank You For The Light”

It puts the short in short story but it’s funny, clever and a reminder of how expertly Fitzgerald used the English language and could craft a story, especially at a time when he was mentally and emotionally breaking down.

It’s a very short but worthwhile read.

"All good writing is swimming under water and holding your breath."

F. Scott Fitzgerald, to his daughter Scottie

On a side note, if you want a look inside of an amazing mind during a troubling time, read “The Crack Up”. It’s a collection of notes, letters, essays and observations from Fitzgerald

"The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function."

— F. Scott Fitzgerald
